Police To Inspect Covid-19 Cards From January

Beginning in January of next year, police will inspect the vaccination cards of all commercial drivers and motorcycle riders to ensure that they have received the COVID-19 vaccine.

Furthermore, employees of all government institutions and health facilities will be denied access to their workplaces if they do not present their vaccination certificates, and absence from work for this reason will result in a loss of pay.

Students aged 15 and up, as well as all teaching and non-teaching staff at secondary and tertiary institutions, are also expected to be immunized before the start of the next academic year.
Patrons and employees of all restaurants, stadiums, beaches, and nightclubs are also required to be vaccinated and show proof of vaccination before entering such establishments.

The arrangements are part of a mandatory vaccination policy that began yesterday and will be implemented in January of next year, following the government’s declaration of December as National Vaccination Month.

Based on the pilot’s findings, the mandatory vaccination policy will be phased-in to cover more groups.
