Empress Gifty, multiple award-winning Ghanaian gospel songstress, has described how a seed offering of $500 to the needy as a way of striking a covenant with God changed her life.
Empress Gifty described her experience, saying she traveled to Canada to perform for a church but the pastor refused to pay her. Although she did not reveal the pastor’s name, she did reveal that the only money she had on her was $500.
Mrs. Adoye revealed that she burst into tears and went on her knees at the Toronto airport, attracting the attention of the workers. He also revealed that before boarding the plane, she went to a nearby stand where children were begging for money and dropped all 500 dollars she had on her.
“I told myself that I’ll never go to Canada and return empty-handed. I had just 500 dollars on me and that is the exact amount I took to Canada. I wasn’t given anything and I returned to Ghana with the exact amount.”
That was all I could think of. The pastor ruined my life, told people lies about me, and left me with nothing. Even when I arrived at the airport, I was muttering and speaking to myself in such a way that one of the workers approached me. She inquired as to what was wrong with me, and I replied that I was praying to God. “I promised myself that I would never again travel and return empty-handed,” she said in a live video.
“I was way behind but God remembered me. I was among the rejected ones but God has remembered me. I know the pastor is watching me. I’ve blocked him on all social media platforms but I know he’s watching me with a fake account. I know he has gone to buy a new phone to watch me and he will do exactly that because God has blessed me. The grace has found me,” she added
