Thomas Partey has stated that his conversion was motivated by his Moroccan girlfriend. If he wanted to spend his future with the lovely Muslim lady, he had no choice but to convert.
Thomas Partey revealed in an interview with Nana Aba Anamoah that he was afraid the lady would leave him if he did not agree to convert.
“Because I have a Moroccan girlfriend, I had to convert.” Because I loved her, I was afraid she would leave me. It’s not a big deal for me because I grew up among Muslims.”
Following his conversion to Islam, Thomas Partey revealed the name “Yakubu.”
Thomas Partey was known to have a girlfriend before his move to Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020. The midfielder has found a new love in London and converted to Islam to suit her woman.
