Due to alleged infractions, the examination body withheld the results of over 3000 candidates who took this year’s West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Furthermore, WAEC announced on Wednesday that 1,339 subject results and 174 overall results of some candidates had been cancelled.
The statement also stated that this year’s candidates’ performance in English and Mathematics had decreased.
446,321 final-year SHS students from across the country took the 2021 WASSCE.
On August 16, 2021, the practical portion of the exam began.
