Store Enough Water – GWCL Warns As Weija Plant Shuts Down

The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has announced that the Weija Water Treatment Plant will be temporarily closed beginning Wednesday, March 23.

This is in response to a request from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to expand one of the stations that powers the Weija Raw Water Pumping Station.

As a result, consumers in the supplying areas have been advised to stock up on water ahead of the planned shutdown.

“Customers should also be aware that water production and supply will resume as soon as ECG’s work is completed.”
