“We respect the human rights of practitioners of homosexuality to get a free and fair trial but their sexual orientation and choices cannot be deemed to be a human right and this is in countenance to the 1992 constitution”. He stressed

He further went on to say the bill is in no way perpetuating hate and if anyone physically assaults homosexuals, the culprits will be dealt with by the law.

The bill is also intended to provide medical and psychological support to homosexuals. “So this bill is looking to jail anybody, but it will serve as a reformative tool”. He added

The bill will also forbid LGBTQ practitioners from adopting children since their way of life doesn’t support procreation.

Four copies of the bill have been signed out five per the parliamentary protocols. Ceremonially, the 8-member committee will sign the fifth one and present it to the Speaker of Parliament. Sam George implored the Speaker of Parliament to assist them extensively in passing this bill into law.

He also took to his Instagram account and expressed how this bill, if passed into law will be the highlight of his parliamentary career.
