Ohemaa Mercy Narrates Her ‘Hide And Seek’ Game With Her Landlord

Ohemaa Mercy in an interview with Adom Fm recounts the hide and seek game she had to play with her landlord.

The accomplished gospel musician narrated her ordeal during her lowest moments. According to her when she was teacher at the St. Paul’s Anglican school in Koforidua, she used to hide from her landlord when he her rent was due.

“It affected my sleeping routine, and the man was always chasing me for his money and because I didn’t have the money, leave the house at exactly 4am and returned very late when nobody was in sight.” She told Afua Ama Tamakloe on Adom Tv’s, M’ahyese3 show.

According to the musician, she had lost all hope in life and kept questioning God on why her life was so difficult.

During her depression, she remembered a small voice kept telling her not to lose faith, but her emotions got the better of her causing her to yell all the time. As a third born, she didn’t want to go through the struggle her elder siblings endured.

“I woke up at my usual 4:00 am quest to dodge my landlord when this man who identified as a pastor and blessed me with a bundle of 20 cedis note” she narrated in tears.

She described that moment as very uplifting to her soul.
