Nzema Road Caves In And Severely Cracks Apart After Rainfall (VIDEO)

A portion of a highway located in the Western Region of Ghana, Nzeman, has been totally destructed.

The Jomoro road closer to Ivory Coast, which links Menseso and Nyaase in Nzema East, caved in after the heavy downpour that hit parts of Ghana yesterday, July 16 2021.

A video received by FamBugs.com from an eyewitness shows that water from the dissolved minerals beneath the tarred road, hence, it sunk in, leaving that part of the road with a huge crack that makes it not motorable again.

The incident happened today whilst a commercial car was plying the road. From reports, no casualties have been recorded but the car got trapped in the ditch created by the destruction. “The car was lucky,” the eyewitness said.

Residents of the area showed at the scene to witness the rare incident whilst expressing shock with others taking pictures and videos of the ditch and the cracks on the road.

The road for the mean has been closed, the Ghana Highways Authority in Nzema is yet to comment on the incident.
