Nana Fredua-Agyeman Jnr’s “My Lost Friend” Shortlisted For GAW Literary Awards 2018

My Lost Friend” a spoken word piece by writer and poet, Nana Fredua-Agyeman Jnr. has been shortlisted in the Spoken Word category for the maiden edition of the Ghana Association of Writers (GAW) Literary Awards 2018.

It was released on the 1st of January, 2017 in commemoration of the third anniversary of the passing of his bosom friend, Kwabena Akyeamponga.k.aShitman’ who passed away on the 31st of December, 2013.

Speaking to famebugs.com, the poet was very thankful to God for the talent bestowed on him. He said, “thebest gift one can offer humanity is to document events, therefore if you’ve been blessed with it, the least you could do is to use it positively. My compositions were known to only my close circle but ‘My Lost Friend’ took it to the world.”

The emotional literary work expresses his pain at the loss of his friend, touching on their friendship, moments shared and an abruptly truncated future together. He skillfully writes with the appropriate literary ingredients to dish out a worthy work of art. The audio was produced by Linkin Beatz.  

The GAW Literary Awards is scheduled to take place on the 24th of November, 2018 at the Pan African Writers Association (PAWA) House at Roman Ridge in Accra.
