After “getting into a violent confrontation,” Kanye West is being investigated by Los Angeles authorities as a suspect in a violence case.
The alleged battery occurred on January 13th, early in the morning.
According to TMZ, the 44-year-old rapper was involved in a physical altercation in DTLA about 3 a.m.
The incident happened near the Soho Warehouse, according to cops. It’s unclear whether Kanye was present at Soho Warehouse at the time of the incident.
The matter is now being investigated as a misdemeanor battery after Kanye allegedly pushed the other guy.
The offence carries a penalty of up to six months in prison.
A video of the rapper was also obtained by TMZ, which was shot late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. “Did y’all say that or not?” Kanye can be heard yelling in the video. “Did you say that or didn’t you?” Because that’s exactly what happened right now.”
