Kanye West has refused to sign a document providing Kim Kardashian the status of “legally single.”
Kim Kardashian, 41, sought a judge in December 2021 to declare her single despite her ongoing divorce with rapper Kanye West, 44.
Kim Kardashian allegedly requested that her maiden name be reinstated in the legal documents, as well as that the court separate matters of child custody and property from her married status.
It’s been about two months since Kim submitted documents in court, but her request has yet to be granted, and Kanye West is said to be at the root of the delay.
According to reports, the rapper is refusing to sign on the dotted line, which would forward Kim’s request.
On Monday, Feb. 7, an insider told E! News, “Kim is still trying to get the’married’ status dissolved to’single’ before they finalize the divorce, but Ye has yet to sign.”
“Moving this divorce along isn’t something he’s doing rapidly, despite Kim’s efforts,” they continued.
