According to Black Sherif, rapper Sarkodie is one of the big stars in Ghana he would like to meet and talk about the music industry with.
The young rapper, whose real name is Mohammed Ismail Sherif, described the SarkCess Music boss as his role model and one of the few musicians he admires.
In an interview, Black Sherif stated that Sarkodie’s presence in the music industry for over ten years is a significant accomplishment.
The “Second Sermon” hitmaker won four awards at the recently concluded 3Music Awards 2022, including Hip Life/Hip Hop Act Of The Year. However, given the amount of work he put into his career in the previous year, this laudable achievement did not come easily.

Among his peers, Sarkodie is arguably Ghana’s biggest export. His brand has spread across the continent, with some of his African contemporaries attempting to outshine him.
But he continues to tower over them all. It would be a mistake to leave his name off the list of the top five best rappers on the continent.
