Hushpuppi released from Chicago Prison; Here’s all we know about this so far

According to information Hushpuppi has been released.

This has been derived from the details on the official website of U.S Federal Bureau Of Prisons, an agency established in 1930 to provide more progressive and humane care for federal inmates and to ensure consistent and centralized administration of federal prisons.

BOP keeps daily records of all inmates in US Prisons and provides a system on its website whereby anyone can check the update on anyone in custody, that is by punching in the inmate’s unique code into the search option on its website.

Ever since Hushpuppi has been extradited to the U.S, his inmate code became a thing on social media and punching it into the BOP’s system now, results show he has been released as you can see from the screenshot below.

Further details about his release are, however, not known yet. Before this, the alleged Nigerian fraudster, Ramon Abbas aka Ray Hushpuppi, was on Monday, July 13, denied bail by a court in the Northern District of Illinois.

On that day he was denied the bail, the Assistant United States Attorney, Melody Wells, convinced the court that Abbas is a flight risk, describing his “significant financial assets, deep ties to foreign countries” as well as a lack of ties to the United States as the “perfect recipe to flee the charges that he faces here.”

Throughout the hearing Abbas’s lawyer, Gal Pissetzky, denied that his client was a flight risk or a danger to the community, repeatedly rejecting the allegations made against his client by the FBI’s affidavit posted earlier this month”, Forbes reported.

“His trial is slated to be held in Los Angeles where the case was filed, rather from Chicago where the investigation is being handled“.

UPDATE: Lawyer Gal Pissetzky has debunked the released reports. Speaking to Nigeria’s The Punch news portal, Gal said “he has not been released and I am still his lawyer. He is on his way to California. Not everything you see on court documents is accurate”.
