Ghana Police Arrests Obour And Gang Wielding Guns In viral Video

Three young Ghanaian men, who were seen showing off guns in videos that have gone viral, have been arrested.

The viral video raised speculations that they could be armed robbers with some social media users even linking them to Korle-Bu bullion van robbery without any evidence.

Popular among them is one Obour, who in Facebook posts showed off stacks of Ghana cedis notes with life-threatening captions on the social media app.

However, he later came out with his gang to deny claims of being armed robbers. “We are galamseyers, not armed robbers, we guard galamsey sites in Upper West,” Obour said in the video below in which they proceeded to curse Ghanaian blogger over the allegations.

But in the latest development, mynewsgh.com reports that “Police in Obuasi has indicated that three of them were picked up at Gausu, a suburb of Obuasi whiles one is said to be in the Northern region”. The report adds that “a pump-action gun with 5 blunk cartridges retrieved from them”.

After interrogations, the three who are Rev. Alfred Dakorah aged 43, Founder and Overseer of God’s Time Ministry, Emmanuel Dakorah, popularly known as Obour, aged 26 and Richard Suleman aged 28 were detained to aid Police in its investigation.
