George Floyd: Moment Jury Pronounced Derek Chauvin Guilty of Murdering [Watch]

Former American police officer, Derek Chauvin, who was captured kneeling in George Floyd’s neck before he died after begging to breathe, has been convicted.

He has been convicted on charges of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. He will be handed a sentence in 8 weeks time.

CNN reports that “Chauvin could face up to 40 years in prison for second-degree murder, up to 25 years for third-degree murder and up to 10 years for manslaughter”.

After the guilty pronouncement by the jury Chauvin’s bail was revoked and he was remanded into custody. Derek’s conviction is being celebrated as “justice” by campaigners of Black Lives Matter.
