Renowned Ghanaian actress and active proponent of the “FixTheCountry” campaign, Efia Odo has been arrested by the Ghana Police.
This occurred after the Accra High Court dismissed the injunction on the fix the country campaign which was scheduled for last month May 9. Efia Odo was arrested together with over 10 conveners of the protest.
According to 3news, the reasons for her arrest is currently unknown but reports show that after the court ruling, the police commanded them to leave the court premises but they didn’t.

The protestors trooped into the Accra High Court premises and continued celebrating their win by making videos and taking pictures. They were chanting “WE WILL DEMONSTRATE” outside the Accra High Court.
Social media has been set into a frenzy mood as the hashtag “\\releaseEfiaOdo” has already climbed number 1 on the Twitter trend list.
Many social media users are currently demanding the release of Efia Odo and the other 10 protestors as well with immediate effect. “This “country” be sad #freeefiaodo still,” Kwesi Arthur tweeted.
