Diana Hamilton has been crowned Artiste of The Year at the 22nd edition of the VGMAs.
The Ghanaian gospel singer beat competition from Sarkodie, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Adina and Medikal in the top category. Diana becomes to first Ghanaian female act to win AOY alive, Ebony won it first but it was after her death.

This year’s event happened at The New Dome adjacent the AICC with a show stopping performance form Efya, Mr Drew, Kuami Eugene, Okyeame Kwame, Medikal among others.
KiDi though missing out on biggest award of the night took home 4 plagues, Eno Barony won Best Rap Performance, Mr Drew beat Gyakie others to win Best New Artiste.
At the awards hosted by Berla Mundi with Giovani Caleb and Sika Osei on the side, Kuami Eugene won Best High Life Artiste again, Medikal took home Best Hip-Hop/Hiplife Artiste.
