Celine Dion, the legendary Canadian singer, has been forced to postpone the remainder of her current US Courage Tour from March 9 to April 22.
According to a press announcement on her website, the 53-year-old singer was forced to cancel the gigs due to “severe and continuous muscle spasms.”
Her statement comes three months after she was forced to postpone the start of her comeback residency in Las Vegas due to the same health problem.
The press statement stated that “tickets purchased with a credit card through authorized ticketing outlets will be returned automatically to the credit card used for purchase.”
‘Ticket holders for the cancelled concerts will get an email with additional information shortly.’ Ticket holders should contact their original point of purchase with any further questions.’
According to her website, Celine “recently was treated for severe and chronic muscle spasms that are keeping her from performing, and her recuperation is taking longer than she wanted.” ‘Her medical team is still assessing and treating her condition.’
‘I was really expecting that I’d be good to go by now,’ she said, ‘but I guess I just have to be more patient and stick to the regimen that my physicians are prescribing.’
‘There’s a lot of organizing and preparation that goes into our shows, so we have to make decisions now that will effect our plans two months down the line,’ the superstar singer continued. I’m looking forward to coming back to full health, as well as all of us surviving this pandemic, and I can’t wait to return to the stage.’
