Want any more 2020 surprise? Say no more, pop culture favourite couple Cardi B and Offset have filed for divorce.
According to hollywoodunlocked.com a source at the Fulton County superior court has confirmed that a divorce petition has been filed in Superior Court, Fulton County, Georgia by Belcalis Almanzar v. Kiari Cephus.
The report says the filing also notes that it is a contested divorce with Cardi B listed as the plaintiff and Offset is listed as the defendant on the paperwork that has been filed on Tuesday.
Details are that the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper wants to have primary custody of Kulture their 2-year-old daughter but she wants Offset to pay child support.
The ‘WAP’ rapper also makes it clear that they’re currently separated, and “there are no prospects for a reconciliation.”
Apart from asking that she wants Offset to be ordered to pay her legal expenses, Cardi also want “an equitable division of all marital assets.”
What has pushed for the divorce is not yet known but it is coming after Cardi posted a cryptic message on her Instastory a few days ago.
She shared a meme that reads “Her heart finally told her to stop wasting her time,” and captioned it “it’s time “.
Cardi B and Offset are yet to make any public statement on this developing story. The 27-year-old got married in 2017 to the Migos rapper, 28.
Though their relationship has been challenged a couple of times over Offset’s infidelity, the love pair, however, weathered stormed and remained together but sadly not for better and for worst because they are calling it quits if this report is anything to go by.
