Akuapem Poloo has broken the internet once again but it is, unfortunately, landing her in trouble as tons of backlash are being poured on her.
This is the result of a birthday photoshoot for her son in which she wore no clothes and posed in front of the innocent-looking 7-year-old boy. According to the birthday wish she attached to the post, she was reliving the moment of birthing her son.
ALSO: Nana Yaa Brefo tearfully narrates how she lost her womb due to a doctor’s negligence
“Son today reminds me of the very day I gave birth to you with no stress and with no regret … I’m naked in front of you because this is how naked I was giving birth to you,” she wrote. However, the majority of social media users found her post inappropriate.
The said photo has gone viral beyond Ghana and it has caught the attention of the Children Rights International NGO which has petitioned Ghana’s CID to investigate the Ghanaian actress. “We deem this act as a violation of the Welfare Principle of the Children’s Act, and abuse of the child’s right to privacy and dignity. We wish to notify your esteemed office to investigate the taken of the said image and its circulation,” the statement said.
The Ghana CID is yet to issue an official response to the call. Latest checks also show that the actress has finally removed the controversial picture from her Instagram page. Nevertheless, see the tweets below of how tweeps have been reacting to Poloo’s viral photo with her son.
If the child was still a baby and she did this kinda shoot with him…I'd see nothing wrong with it but now he's growing; could be 9 or 10yrs ….couldn't she have given him a decent normal photoshoot?…Akuapem Poloo dier oh norrrr. Cardi B sef no go do this.?

Meanwhile, Nana Ama Agyemang Asante of Citi FM, has come to the defense of Poloo as says she sees nothing wrong with Poloo’s explicit photo with her son.
What exactly do you see when you look at that picture? If you saw that picture and thought of sex, then it means you sexualize your mothers, sisters, and female relatives. Which explains the high rates of rape by brothers, fathers, and other relatives in Ghana.
— Nana Ama Agyemang Asante (@JustNanaAma) June 30, 2020
So perhaps, instead of being angry with her over a picture that she has sexualized, you should sit and explore your disgust and anger
