Akuapem Polo Goes Back To Jail As Court Dismisses Appeal Case

The High Court in Accra presided over by Justice Aryeetey has dismissed the appeal filed by Akuapem Poloo challenging her 90 days custodial sentence.

What this means is that Akuapem Poloo will now serve her 90 days jail terms imposed on her by the Circuit Court.

Akuapem Poloo is currently sobbing while the court has indicated, she should continue her jail terms from where she left off from Nsawam.

Background.

Akuapem Poloo, also known as Rosemond Brown in real life, was arrested after sharing an explicit photo of herself and her son on social media. Later, she was granted bail in the amount of GHc80,000 with two sureties. In addition to the bail, she is required to report to the case investigator every two weeks and to deposit her passport with the court registrar.

The Accra Circuit Court sentenced Akuapem Poloo to 90 days in prison after she pleaded guilty to three charges, including publication of obscene materials involving her 7-year-old son.
