2 Shot Dead At Ejura As youth Riot Over Death Of #FixTheCountry Campaigner

Social media activist, Ibrahim Kaaka Mohammed died yesterday at Ejura after a mob attacked him.

This has mainly been described as a hate crime that saw him murdered because he was vocal in calling the government out on developmental issues concerning the town.

The youth and his friends of Kaaka at Ejura threatened to avenge his death if the police failed to issue the arrest on the perpetrators.

However with the intervention of Ibrahim’s family, the angry youth gave the police an ultimatum of two days else they’ll retaliate.

Earlier this morning, there was a protest at Ejura where the youth stormed into the police station demanding update on the investigation on the killers of Kaaka.

Although the police told them they have arrested two people in connection to the crime, the agitated protestors said it was just a façade.

The youth described the deceased as a crusader for the community who speaks truth to power and requests for developmental projects for the area.

Their actions caused chaos with military intervention and fire opened on them, seeing at least two people shot dead. Joy FM reports that six others have injured out of the clash.

“Three security officials were seen in a horizontal line with a water canon charging on the protestors. The military started shooting into the sky but at some point started shooting into the crowd” myjoyonline.com stated.

Actress Efia Odo among other Fix The Country protestors have been reacting to this developing story.
